Getting Closer to him

At midnight, two people were busy on their phones. One teaching the other and making them listen while the other was happy for the company and was trying to prolong the conversation.

Soon, both started studying and sometime they would talk about random stuff. After sometime, Ray started laughing at all the things Elsa said and she pouted at him.

As they were close to finishing one subject, Ray sighed," Thanks for this."

" Anytime Ray... We are friends... There is no need to say thanks." Elsa said smilingly.

Ray smiled and said," I was under a lot of pressure. Family..studies everything... Mom's being overbearing nowadays that's why i was in a bad mood."

He knew that she wanted to know the reason and he felt comfortable in telling her.

" I don't know what she's thinking, She says that teacher kept on saying i don't study nowadays and she was chiding me for that."

Elsa listened to him saying his worries and said, "Talk to your mom ..Ray... It's way better than thinking it on your own. She must have her own share of worries."

" Yeah .. I will try to talk to her. "

Elsa smiled and said," Okay..Get some sleep now..At noon, we can study the second subject."

" I'm really sorry that i made you waste time but i'm really happy too that you were keeping me company." Ray apologised.

Elsa shook her head even though he can't see.., " Naah... This is nothing. Now, go to sleep .. ohh and please wake me up after two hours."

Ray chuckled and said," Sure.."

Elsa cheerfully said," Thaannkksss Ray... goodnight." and hung up.

Ray sat looking at his phone and smiling before he got up to lay down.

At noon.

Ray had his exam easy because of Elsa's teaching. He repeatedly thanked her for her help while prasing her teaching skills. Everyone sat together, to study for the next subject which was Maths.

Elsa loved maths and she knew the topics very well. Soon, everyone started discussing formulas while Ray laid down on Andy's lap to get some sleep.

He didn't sleep after their call as he knew he wouldn't get up on time. Minutes after he laid down, Elsa tried to wake him up because she knew he didn't study anything.

He didn't wake up but held her hand in his. Elsa's heart skipped a beat and she looked at their entwined hands for some time. She could have taken her hand away but she didn't want to.

'It's okay... He was the one who held it..So it's not your fault. ' Elsa said this in her mind.

As she was trying to focus , Ray suddenly moved which led to tightening his hold on her.

Elsa's heart was beating rapidly while her face went red ,' Stop blushing Elsa.... Let go...Take your hand away. '

But she couldn't take her hand away..more like she wanted her hand to remember the feeling. She soon ignored their hands and focused on her exam. When it was going to be near the exam time, she gently took her hand from his and woke him up.

Ray got up and was like," Is it time already? I was having a nice dream.."

Elsa blushed and told him," Get up... and listen to these formulas atleast. "

Ray shook his head and tried to listen to her. While trying to listen to her words, Ray gazed at her and smiled slyly.

Soon everyday became like this for them, Every night they call each other and learn together. Elsa was happy that she could teach him. Even when Ray went to his friend's house to study, he called her after everyone had slept , they studied and talked till early morning.

Elsa said," Okay... I will call you after one hour. Let me get some reading first."

Ray said ," Okay.. and i will try to go through what you taught uptill now." and both of them hung up.

It was usual for Elsa to stay up late till morning during exams. But, it was her first time someone giving her company. She was enjoying their late talks that she didn't want it to end after exams.

As she was thinking about this, Ray called again. She was confused to why he was suddenly calling.

"Heyy.. What happened?" Elsa asked him worriedly.

Ray paused for sometime and said," I didn't want to hang up.... I .... I ...wanted to talk to you more."

Elsa was feeling an immense rush of emotions, shocked,surprised,happiness.... She smiled and said, " Is that so?"

Only God knew, how long she waited to hear these words from him.Her mind said, ' God... he is down baby!!!!'

while her heart was telling her, ' calm down... wait till he shows some other signs... Don't jump to conclusions. '

She decided to listen to her heart and wait for some other signs before she decided on his feelings.

They talked for sometime and hung up making a promise to call after one hour.

Elsa couldn't stop smiling as she started reading her notes. She was giddy with happiness as she simply sat there with a huge grin on her face and looked outside her window.
