Chapter 10: Desert Drake Myolnir (II)

The damage itself is domineering for a combined elemental spell. With my current attributes, I would be able to deal 10000 damage per second, meaning I just need to cast it twice and the dragon's dead.

I wonder how it would turn out if I just used water-based skills. Oh well, what's done has been done, let's kill this drake.

----------------

"Hmm? An increased amount of water... and air? Ice elements?" The Drake muttered, his eyes opening up wide and he looked up in the sky. Using his dragon vision, he could already see that there was a man floating and surrounded by ice elements.

Upon looking at the man, he saw the man look back at him and Myolnir shivered. He knew those eyes.

Those were the eyes of a predator meeting its prey.

Run! That was the first idea Myolnir thought of. He immediately stood up and spread his wings, but before he could even take flight, he immediately felt the chilling sensation around him.

He was rapidly covered in ice, and his body felt heavy. The most important thing was that everytime the ice melts due to his body temperature, there was a following pain that continuously ebbed out his life force.

"Damn it... I will not die here...!"

The drake, Myolnir, roared as much as it wanted, but to no avail.

"Wait.. Don't kill me! I... I surrender!" Myolnir shouted, not caring for pretenses anymore when his life was at stake. he could after all feel that there was once again ice elements gathering around the man who wanted his life, which meant that this was the final blow.

His life was just beginning. He didn't want to be killed off when he had the potential to be more, to return back to his ancestry, the great majestic red dragon!

"Don't care. Bye bye~" The man responded.

Myolnir was surprised to hear that response before howling miserably, as the 2nd and final hit had arrived. With a last ditch attempt, he fired his own [Dragon Breath] skill towards the man who had slayed him, as well as [Dragon Curse].

What surprised Myolnir the most was that the man was just facing the attack head-on, not caring the slightest.

What was more surprising was that there was an invisible layer around the man, stopping both the curse and the fire breath from reaching him.

Despair finally filled his eyes. Immediately, the ice ravaged his whole body before his lifeforce ebbed to non-existence.

The drake was dead.

[Main Quest: Discover the source of the anomaly in the desert.

Complete.

Rewards: 1000 system points

Same day completion: 1000 system points

Perfect level completion: 5000 system points

Perfect level reward: Level-up potion (Lvl 30)x5]

Paolo wasn't happy. Not at all happy.

I wasted too much skill points on fighting this monster. I should have just used the water elemental spells rather than unlock the secondary elemental skill trees.

Oh well, what's done is done. At least now, I know what to do with the skills I have. At the same time, I gained at 6,543 skill and system points from killing the drake, as well as gaining 7000 additional from the System quest. With the system points I have gained, I'll probably upgrade my level, since I haven't unlocked any system upgrades for the other features since my main quest to level to 15 and find a base hasn't been completed.

Right now, I spent 15000+ system points to level to 12. Damn, its quite hard to level up with the rate of system points required exponentially increasing.

Wait, didn't I get an item reward? Something called Level-up potion? I'll check my inventory for that.

Upon seeing the description, I couldn't help but swallow my saliva on how OP the item was.

[Level-up Potion (Lvl 30) x5

Allows you to level up immediately as long as your level is equal to or less than 30.

Note from System: You deserve it. Up to you when to use it. There is no medicine for regret.]

Upon seeing the note from the system, I hesitated to use it now. Given the current requirements to level up, I could just imagine the cost for lvl 25-30: 10,569,646,080 system points.

Damn. Yep, would rather save these potions for next time. Also, who knows, maybe I'll get another one.

After collecting the body of the drake, I immediately noticed that the temperature of the desert became colder immediately.

Good. Everything was returning to normal.

I'll just head off now back to my island... ugh. More enemies? Really?

Wait, they're color yellow in my map. That means they're neutral. Why are they heading to my direction though?

...OH fuck, the satellites.

Damn it, they're part of the UN Espers team. This one is probably different from the one I observed in the Amazon yesterday. I'll just evade them then. I don't really have much to do with them after all.

*Ting*
