A New Resolve

After a few deep breaths, Shi Li then stood up from hospital bed, gradually walking step by step towards a nearby mirror. Since he had transmigrated into another person's body, he should at least have some idea of the body's appearance.

It took Shi Li a while to stand in front of a mirror and at the exact point he looked at his body, he was surprised. Two contradicting qualities were found on his current body.

The first quality was that he had an extremely handsome and masculine face. His jawline was well-defined where it accentuated the features of his face. Hair that was as dark as the night sky, irises that gleamed blue like the ocean waters, and a smile which would make every woman fall for him. But the second quality negated this first quality...

For he was skinny. He didn't know as to how this happened, but then he realized the times the old Shi Li would use this body to ravage a woman for pleasure.

"Damn. The old Shi Li must've overdrafted this body's vitality too much, causing this body to be extremely skinny," Shi Li couldn't help but sigh yet again. Sure, cultivation existed in this world thanks to him looking at the memories of the old Shi Li multiple times, yet a part of cultivation had something to do with beautiful women right?

After becoming disappointed with his body and coming to terms with it, he then removed the bandage that covered most of the upper half of his chest. Even though he knew that he was stabbed in the heart, he wanted to know how severe it was.

Slowly but surely, Shi Li removed the layers of bandage one by one, revealing the scar that shocked him underneath.

It was not a large scar, yet it was a scar that branched out into multiple directions as if a spider designed it. He turned his body to face the mirror on his back and saw that the scar on his back was the same as well.

The scar on both sides spanned from the edge of the left lung up to the sternum, which made Shi Li shake his head as he muttered two words.

"I'm weak."

Yes, Shi Li accepted the fact that he was weak. Even in the memories of the old Shi Li, he was often bullied for being lacking in cultivation and strength. He often used women as a way to make the pain and anger subside, yet it still haunted him every day up to his death.

The current Shi Li delved deep inside his consciousness and felt each and every cell of his body breathing in unison. According to the old Shi Li's memories, this was how the cultivator would know their current cultivation realm.

And from his investigation, Shi Li was at the first stage of the Martial Apprentice substage, the lowest possible cultivation for a cultivator.

Coming back to reality, Shi Li sighed once more as he closed his robe that was previously opened to reveal the scar and looked out of the window once more.

The sun was up high in the vast blue sky like a giant orange pearl of light as the lush green trees and energetic animals could be seen going through their day.

"Well then, let's start with the first step of the avenge plan," Shi Li muttered as he walked towards the room's door.

"And that is to start cultivating."

...

Creak...

The elder presiding over the medical room turned his head to face the direction of the door and started to complain. "Oi. You're still injured, go back to rest—"

The elder's words were stuck in his throat as he blinked twice to look at the person's face.

"Y-Y-Young Master!"

"Oh?" The man who opened the door looked back at the elder and bowed respectfully. "Greetings Elder."

The elder looked at the man and scratched his head. "That's weird, wouldn't the Young Master be infuriated at this moment since an elder dared to block his way? Oh well."

"Young Master," the elder said, "You should go back to the medical room and take a few more days of rest. Your wound might open up again."

Since the elder presided over the medical room, he knew every person's condition before they entered the room.

"Thanks to Elder for your advice but my wound has already healed up," the man respectfully replied as he opened his robe, revealing a hideous scar on the left side of his chest.

This man was none other than Shi Li.

"Gah!" The elder couldn't help but exclaim at the sight of the scar on Shi Li's chest. It took a while for him to compose himself as he coughed lightly. "Ehem. It seems so. So Young Master, what brings you outside the medical room?"

"I have something to say to Father," Shi Li replied while maintaining his respectful tone. He knew that he was breaking the old Shi Li's manners but he knew that he should respect elders.

"The patriarch huh," the elder rubbed his chin as he nodded, "Then I'll send a message to him before you get there."

Shi Li bowed once more before starting to walk towards his father's room. "Thanks to Elder for your help."

And just like that, by relying on the memories of the old Shi Li, the current Shi Li started to walk towards his father's office as the elder looked at his silhouette.

Not long after, the elder released a wisp of qi and said some words to it before flicking it with his finger towards a certain direction.

...

Shi clan, an unknown room.

Within the room, a man could be seen holding a quill as he checked over his papers thoroughly before dipping his quill in ink and signing it on the lower left region.

This room had a large window behind where the man was currently sitting while a candle holder could be seen a few decimeters beside the papers.

The man had pitch-black hair with a few strands standing up like a tower, his irises looked like amethysts shining under the moonlight as his face was slightly covered in wrinkles, yet that wasn't enough to cover his aura of solemnity and wisdom.

This was the patriarch of the Shi clan, and Shi Li's father, Shi Xingwan.

In the midst of his paper checking, a wisp of qi floated in front of his face which caught his attention, prompting him to imbue his finger with his qi and tap on it.

In an instant, a message was sent to his brain.

"Patriarch, your son is now awake and is heading towards your room to talk about something."

Shi Xingwan nodded his head as he also released a wisp of qi and said a few words before flicking it with his finger. In this wisp of qi were a few words of gratitude to the elder. A few seconds later, he was back to his paper checking.

Knock knock knock.

But before he could start doing so, someone was knocking on his door. Shi Xingwan immediately knew who it was thanks to the message and said, "Come in."

...

Shi Li slowly opened the door as he heard his father's permission to enter. He then closed it and sat on a nearby chair where he could see his father.

"So..." his father, Shi Xingwan said as he tidied his papers, "What brings you here, my son?" Afterwards, he looked at Shi Li with a light smile.

Shi Li nodded before replying, "Father..."

"I want to start cultivating."

I'm going to be changing things a little bit here so it gets interesting. Anyways, the plot is mostly the same with a few things changed, but I assure you that these changes would make the story better.
