Shock

By 12:00pm, all were sited in the board room waiting for the new director. The siting arrangements was in order of the degree a lawyer held. Asumahu had just graduated from law school with the best grade and this was the reason she had the opportunity to work in the best law firm in the country ,this was a result of her hard work and determination. Back then in law school she cared about no body but her self, had no friends or attended party of any kind. Her sole aim was to take her family out of poverty.

They've been sitting for 30 minutes and there was no sign of Mr Seun the directors secretary or the new director. Just as she thought of leaving Mr seun came into the room and immediately the noise died down. 'Am sorry everyone for coming late, I had to wait for the new director's arrival from China. Luckily he's here today and would address us a few secs from now. ladies and gentleman I present to you Mr Agbator osadudiamen' he said pointing the entrance to the room.

The name sounded familiar to Asimahu but she couldn't recall where she had heard it from , something was not feeling right by the hearing of that name .

Before she could recall from where she had heard the name, a young man in his late twenties walked into the room. his perfume scent filled the whole room, he was dressed in the best clothing brand_ Gucci from head to toe. Asimahu's heart jumped through her mouth when she saw the face of the new director, he was his class mate from junior high through senior high, he was the one who made her had goose bumps, butterfly feeling and headache, she felt her heart ache inside.

she wished she was dreaming. 'Good afternoon everyone, I'm your new director. Am an engineer who works in China so that makes me not a lawyer. I'll be working here for two years, most of you know what happened,i lost a case which was handled by ur ex director, I made sure she was sacked and no firm in the country would accept her' he said with an evil smile, raising one side of his lip

'what has this country turned into' Asimahu said to her self. The new director had not only sacked Mrs Lola but made sure she never works anywhere in the country. Osamudiamen was the only son of the multimillionaire family. The Agbator's family were highly recognized in the country but no one knew the source of their wealth. the young man was sued by a hospital for causing a scene which took the life of two doctors n five patients. Mrs Lola had refused the offer but her life was threatened ,she knew she could not defend a client who was totally guilty, she knew she had no chance of winning the case but was forced to do so. The rich folks ruled the country, oppressed the poor and always got away with it

Asimahu's head was beginning to spin, she was still sitting in shock of not that he wasn't a lawyer but that he is the director.
