My stomach is so full. What a great meal ^^. But overeating makes me have an urge to go to the restroom. To …ahemm..reorganize my stomach space by empty some of it.
" Alex, excuse me. I need to go to the restroom."
I stand up and inform him about my intention. Or he might think I plan to run away or I will be left alone stranded in this unfamiliar place!
Beep! Beep!
[What an old ringtone sound.]
Alex holds up a hand in front of me to signal me to wait before further speaking. He then pulls out his phone to check the incoming text. His eyebrow frowning when reading it before placing the handphone on the table and look at me.
"Can you hold it? Sit down and wait for a few minutes."
The serious eyes that staring me signal me to obey him without questions. And I did. It's a small request, after all, considering he already bribing me with big notes to pay the food earlier.
Something prickling my awareness earlier and this triggers an uneasy feeling that starts stirring since we safely arrive at this airport earlier. And it left just as quick as it comes.
But Alex seriousness asking me to wait prick that uneasy feeling again. But I still can't pinpoint the root of it. I also have a bigger issue in my hand right now. In order to "forget" my earlier urgent needs for the restroom. I busily myself looking at the outside the restaurant that we are sitting that separating us by passerby outside by a thick wall glass.
From our table, I have noticed some people stop at the entrance. But didn't enter but anxiously try to peer inside the restaurant before they walkout. And then the same thing happens again. Four times the same thing occurs in just a short time?
What stopping them from walking in? And why there is a lack of response from the staff inside? Don't they feel weird and investigate what holding the customer from walking into their restaurant? Because the people stop but don't enter is not just one or two!
Been curious, I turn my head at the front counter, but no one is standing there. But looking at the left corner near the entrance door, I found the guy who serves me earlier.
It seems even the staff named Alexander doesn't mind the abnormal way of a few potential customer's reactions who have been hesitating to enter the store but choose to walks away in the end.trying
Or should I said, he is out of his mind since he is so brazenly sat and asleep while leaning on the wall right at this moment. And the table where he rests, he even did not work seriously wiping the table because apparently that table still remains some spilled water left by previous customers!
Apart from the two of us, there is no other customer. I look back at my watch. Nine minutes went away since Alex ask me to remain on my sit. I glanced at Alex. He still looking at his watch. Is he waiting for someone?
And my method of trying to forget my urgent "nature call" also fails now!
