Cooling Down

My day at school was horrible because I did not focus. I was still thanking about grandpa and on both breaks I went to the toilet and cried.

During the lunch break I went

the toilet,but I did not notice that my best friend Lisa was following me. Just as I closed the door of the stall she said,"Miri what's wrong,you are not yourself today"She made me jump because I was not expecting her.

"Lissa!,you scared me" I said as I opened the door,revealing a worried looking Lisa.

"Nothing,I'm fine" I said to her as I tried to keep my tears from falling. Lisa looked at me worriedly then she left. I was left standing there,feeling bad.

Lisa and I never hid anything from each other. I did not tell her because I felt that if I talked about grandpa's death, his passing would be finalised.

At the end of the day I decided to walk to my special place instead if going home.

My special place was a stream,it had cool blue waters and it was calming. I always felt at peace there. When I arrived I sat on the grass by the banks of the stream.

I took out my notepad and started singing a song. I sang Oblivion by Bastille because grandpa had gone to Oblivion.

After a while I noticed that someone was singing along with me. From the voice I could tell it was male.

I stopped singing and I looked behind me. I felt my eyes widen,cause I saw the most gorgeous guy ever.

He had jet black hair with dark blue tips. His eyes were somewhere in between brown and red,which was a shade I had never seen on eyes.

He smiled a dazzling smile and said"Hi I could not help overhearing your beautiful singing,I just had to join in. My name is Ru short for Roland."

"I'm Miri," I said while my heart pounded in my chest.

Today had just got a lot better.
