Conduct a background check on Liu Qiang and Zhao Biyu

Li Cheng carried Zhang Lihua into the bedroom and placed her on the bed gently. He helped her change into her nightwear and stared at her.

Her cheeks were red due to the fact that she drank a lot but she was still as beautiful as usual. She looked more beautiful when she slept.

Li Cheng kissed her forehead gently and held her hand. He stared at the wedding ring in her hands.

Because of the sudden arrangement of their marriage, he didn't get the opportunity to buy her a better wedding ring, well he had plans of doing that in the future.

He covered her gently with the comforter and went to his study. He called his secretary "conduct a background check on Liu Qiang and Zhao Biyu, cancel all my appointments for tomorrow, bring the results of the background check to my house tomorrow afternoon."

Li Cheng kept wondering why Liu Qiang would tell Zhang Lihua that she was his toy. He only hoped that Zhang Lihua didn't take it to heart.

The morning rays of the sun shone brightly on Zhang Lihua's face, she opened her eyes and felt a horrible pain in her head.

What happened yesterday night? Why do I feel so much pain in my head? OMG! I kissed Li Cheng yesterday, what was I thinking? I even narrated my whole past to him. How did I change into my night wear? Shit! He helped me change, that means he saw my nakedness. I was so stupid yesterday, I wouldn't have drank so much.

She touched her lips, for some reason, she felt warmth in her heart when she found out that she kissed Li Cheng.

"You are awake" Li Cheng walked into the room

Zhang Lihua looked at him and lowered her head "hmm... Good morning" She felt really shy when she thought about her behavior yesterday, she didn't know how to face him.

Li Cheng noticed her shyness and said softly "you don't have to feel shy"

Zhang Lihua raised her head and replied "thank you for yesterday night, I created so much problem for you."

Li Cheng looked at her and replied coldly "you almost killed yourself because of a man, is he worth it? You wanted to put your life at risk just because of Liu Qiang and Zhao Biyu, were you even thinking properly?"

Zhang Lihua didn't know why she felt sad as she was been scolded by Li Cheng. She became completely weak and replied in a low tone "he's not worth it but the things he said to me yesterday were really hurtful, he called me a toy and a seductress, this was the same man that I loved wholeheartedly, why wouldn't I want to drink that much?" Tears welled up in her eyes, she didn't even know why she was explaining to Li Cheng.

Li Cheng realized that his words hurt her the more. He sat down on the bed and replied softly "am sorry if I scolded you too hard, I was just mad that my wife wanted to kill herself" He used his palms and wiped the tears that welled up in her eyes and hugged her tightly, then he said "I don't want you to cry because of them again"

Zhang Lihua felt warmth and security as she hugged Li Cheng. She broke off from the hug and said "Am really sorry about my behaviour. yesterday, I wouldn't drink that much again, thank you for not taking advantage of me. I looked really pitiful yesterday right?" She just couldn't imagine that Li Cheng met her in such a horrible state.

Li Cheng smiled slightly "No, you actually looked beautiful and you still look beautiful."

Zhang Lihua blushed slightly. Why did he have to praise her like that? Besides she wasn't so beautiful.
