Mo Xicheng's head snapped up when he heard these words. "What did you say?"

"I said that the hotel lady told me on the phone that Ms. Shi turned up at noon. But they weren't sure if something unpleasant happened in the private room, because she left very shortly afterwards and did not eat any of the food that they ordered."

Mo Xicheng got up on his feet at once and furrowed his brow.

Pursing his lips tightly, he suddenly remembered how Shi Nianyao had sounded like she had wanted to say something and then had ended up not doing so.
