23rd World Martial Arts Tournament

Piccolo walked down the street on his way to register for the WMA, he was wearing a turban, white mantle with shoulder pads and purple dougi. His antenna was hidden and most of his body as well, even though King Piccolo had showed up on live stream, no one recognized Piccolo. Kalan had surreptitiously written his dojo name on Piccolo's white mantle, it wasn't know whether Piccolo had noticed it or not.

*Crack Crack* A building cracked and broke apart, large debris fell down. A few passerby just happened to be right under where the large debris was falling.

"Waaah!" A mother and her daughter froze in fear as they watched the debris grow bigger and bigger in their eyes.

*Boom* Piccolo shot out two eye beams at the debris, an explosion turned them to harmless dust.

"Thank you, sir!" The mother and daughter hurriedly thanked Piccolo.

"Scram! Or I'll kill you!" Piccolo threatened before continuing down the street.

"He's really short tempered... But don't worry, he's from Kalan's dojo. He wouldn't kill us, he was just scaring us." The mother explained to her daughter after seeing the text printed on Piccolo's white mantle.

"How did she know...?" Piccolo had really sharp ears, he could still pick up the whispers of the mother from afar. Piccolo was puzzled how the mother recognized him being related to Kalan, although he had no idea about the dojo part, he and Kalan had stayed together for 3 years in the wilderness. But they never left the wilderness, it shouldn't be know to others as they never met any other people during the three years.

Piccolo registered as Demon Jr. as expected, no one recognized him while he was fully clothed. No one except Goku recognized Piccolo's real identity.

Kami did not participate in the WMA like in the story, most likely, he wasn't afraid of Piccolo running amok with Kalan watching him.

The preliminaries was finished and the lots drawn.

The first match Tien Shinhan vs Tao Paipai.

The second match Chi Chi vs Goku

The third match Piccolo vs Krillin

The forth match Lunch vs Yamcha

The first match was easily won by Tien Shinhan, even though Tao Paipai sneak attacked with a dagger, he wasn't able to even slightly injure Tien Shinhan. There was too big of a gap in their abilities.

The second match also ended quickly, Chi Chi was quite strong and had a battle power of 200, Goku easily defeated her with a slight push, she was shoved outside the stage.

"Chi Chi isn't bad, her foundation is quite good, I should let Tien help teach her a bit. Too bad Bulma kind of gave up martial arts already..." Kalan sighed, Bulma had a battle power around 80 even though Kalan had often personally taught her. But Chi Chi had simply followed the ordinary dojo members without gaining personal guidance from even Nam, but she still managed to raise her battle power to 200. She was diligent and often trained alone after group training.

Third match was won in seconds, Piccolo sent out two eye beams which zapped Krillin unconscious. Krillin's battle power was just over 100, even below Chi Chi's, he was quite miserable as he was the only one training alone.

The forth match was more intense. Lunch and Yamcha fought equally, Yamcha used his new technique Spirit Ball. Just as he was about to flung it at Lunch, she sneezed and turned into Blue Lunch. After that, she hurriedly left the stage since she wasn't a fighter like the Blond Lunch. Her action left a dumbfounded crowd staring at her. Yamcha dumbly held his Spirit Ball in hand and accidentally lost control, the Spirit Ball fell on his hand, burning it red.

"Blond Lunch is quite talented, especially considered how violent she is and likes chaos... Too bad her hair is too long..." The intense fight had caused her hair to tickle her nose, leading her to sneeze. The fight between Blond Lunch and Yamcha was quite equal, but he might had held back a bit, considering she was a girl.

"Shit, each of the other girls are all more motivated in martial arts." Kalan didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Only Bulma lacked interest in martial arts.

Next was the semi-finals.

First match Goku vs Tien Shinhan

The fight was quite intense, Goku had no choice but to remove his weighted clothes to win. Soon he won the battle by attacking so fast, Tien Shinhan had no way to follow his movement and ended up being thrown out of the stage.

"Seems like he should barely reach 600 in battle power..." Kalan analysed Goku's strength in this battle. Piccolo's battle power almost reached 700, it was almost a gap of 100 in battle power. Kami had trained Goku a lot more intense than in the story, but that was due to Kalan's beating that Piccolo got much stronger and forced Kami's hand.

The second match Piccolo vs Yamcha

Piccolo saw Yamcha wearing Kalan's dojo dougi and didn't beat him up too harsh. After a few clashes, he kicked Yamcha out the stage. By now he had understood what Kalan's dojo meant, there were several people wearing Kalan's dojo dougi after all. Lunch, Chi Chi, Tien Shinhan and Yamcha and considering their friendly chat with Kalan, it wasn't hard for him to understand they were all from Kalan's own school of martial arts.

Unfortunately Krillin simply wore Turtle School's orange dougi and was zapped hard during his fight with Piccolo. Even now his body was badly bruised and his whole body was wracked in pain.

The final match began, Piccolo and Goku stood opposite each other on the stage. Piccolo stared at Goku with hostility.

"Well, I have no idea how you managed to befriend Piccolo... I'll leave it to you here as well." Kalan said quietly in his mind. Considering Piccolo's enmity, it was really a miracle how Goku managed to befriend him in the story.
