To compensate for the rate of absorption the system activated Ed's immortal Physique and started to absorb the lightning energy at an unbelievable speed.

The lightning energy was being absorbed but it wasn't fast enough to absorb it at a fast rate that wouldn't damage Ed's body.

The system noticed that the lightning energy was damaging Ed's and it quickly activated Ed's earth core and started to heal Ed.

The lightning energy damaged Ed's body and the earth core quickly healed the damaged area.

Like that 2 days passed before ed opened his eyes.

The moment he opened his eyes he saw notifications pop up.

The first one was for his lightning body.

The notification said that he had gained 100m Exp for it.

The second notification was about him upgrading his lightning body,

[Ding your lightning body has levelled up to grade 8 mortal body]

[Ding your lightning body has levelled up to grade 9 mortal body],

Your strength has been raised by half stage.

When he saw that he had only gained a strength of half realm, he felt like as if he was just ripped off.

He asked the system, "Why have I only gained half realm and not 1 realm boost in strength".

He did not get an answer and was about to ask the system about it again when he remembered that the system had used itself to help him absorb the lightning energy in his body.

He felt thankful for having the system and decided to continue his journey but before he could do that he went and grabbed the skill that he had almost lost his life for.

He opened the scrawl and the moment he did a tiny drop of qi was created on the scrawl and it immediately jumped up towards Ed.

The qi entered Inside Ed's body and the moment it did Ed saw a new skill pop up in his inventory.

He checked out the skill and saw its effect.

The skill had 12 stages,

The 1st stage let you be immune to 50% of the pain you could feel.

The 2nd stage increased your immunity towards pain to 100%

The 3rd stage makes your cells stronger, so it could counter against unwanted bacteria's, can handle grade 1-3 poison.

The 4th stage Improves your cell again, so it could be able to handle unwanted bacteria, can handle grade 1-6 poison.

The 5th stage Improves your cell again, so it could be able to handle unwanted bacteria, can handle grade 1-9 poison.

The 6th stage improves your cell and tissues to be able to recover limbs in 5 to 10 minutes.

The 7th stage improves your cells to the point to be able to recover a missing hand in 1 week.

The 8th stage makes you be able to recover organs in 2 days

The 9th stages makes your cell to be able to recover organs in 3 hours, recover missing parts of your body in 1 hour and recover limbs instantly.

The 10 stages, let your body recover anything in no time.

The 11th stage can make your whole body out of your blood.

The 12th stage can create your whole body just from a trace of your qi and can recover any kind of wounds that your soul has taken, and all the previous abilities increase in efficiency.

"In each stage, your healing speed increases and you must get attacked to increase the first 2 stages, for 3-5 you must eat/drink poison to level up, 6-10 take damage and recover, 11-12 just get hit".

When Ed had finished reading this the only thing he was wondering was 'how this skill is only a grade 7 if somebody told me about this skill I would immediately guess that it a peak immortal level skill'.

He was overjoyed at his new skill and was looking forward to the day he would have this skill at level 12.

Whenever he reaches the 12th stage of this skill he could just go and spit on an immortal's face without even caring about shit.

Ed jumped out of his mind and started walking towards the inner area of the lightning zone.

A lightning came down and hit him, the pain he felt was painfull as fuck but the only thing he thought about was gaining exp.

Ed received hits after hits with the same amount of pain until he heard the system pain immunity levelled up.

The moment he heard that Ed was hit by another lightning but this time he felt 50% less pain, he was happy at his advancement in the skill, Ed started to run around the lightning zone until he reached the inner area.

The moment he entered the inner area the lightning changed from blue to red and the first thing he thought was trying out the new the lightning in the sky.

He jumped under one of the lightning that were coming down and the moment he did he was hit by a red lightning that made his whole-body shiver in pain.

The pain that was dealt with him made him fall on the ground with his whole-body shacking.

He tried to get up and the moment he tried to do so he fell back on the ground.

Without waiting he started to heal himself with all his focus only on healing himself.

Seeing that the lightning zone was still dangerous to him he quickly activated all his abilities except Susanoo.

His cultivation realm slowly rose by 7 stages and with his current power, the lightning that was in here was nothing to him right now.

He started to go under every lightning and started to take it on with his bare body, he didn't feel any pain from the attacks, but it didn't mean that his skill didn't gain exp.

After at least 1000 lightning attacks he felt that his skill had upgraded again.

He was now completely immune to pain; all of the attacks came towards him but it only gave his lightning body exp after exp.
