Not a natural occurence

Seeing the firepower of the bow, he was exhilarated he knows that he made the right choice to make the bow using the tendons of a dinosaur as the string and the tooth as the arrow.

"It seems using dinosaur parts to make a weapon is the right choice after all." Kyoryu said with sparkling eyes. He thought that he was rejuvenated just from firing one arrow and seeing it's effects even made him feel like he was flying. He didn't noticed it but Dimo was being silent all this time leaving his mouth wide open, he was shocked to see a destructive weapon.

All this time the only things that he can make use of to kill dinosaurs are traps, sharpen trees, bones, and stones. At first glance he can already feel that this weapon and him were a match for each other, he rushed to where Kyoryu is and asked. "Hey Kid, what kind of weapon is this? Why is it so strong and why is it that it can be used to attack from afar? I have only so far saw a sling as a weapon that can be used to attack from a short distance but not this far. This weapon looks familiar." Dimo rattled on and one seemingly excited about the new thing that he saw.

Although I'm surprised by the explosive power of the bow, I'm more surprise about my strength that can pull the bow's string. I didn't have this kind of strength before when I was in my previous world. Maybe it has something to do with the constitution of humans in this world or something.

Dimo and Kyoryu went inside the cave to pack their things to hunt for some more food when suddenly they felt a rumbling and the cave walls was slowly collapsing due to the tremors, they quickly packed their most important things and went outside in a hurry. After exiting the cave, the entrance collapsed to and covered the entrance.

They can only stare at the cave that they considered their home collapsing and can do anything at all.

"I've researched this once before in my previous life due to my curiousity, Earthquakes are usually caused when a huge rock underground suddenly breaks along a fault. This sudden release of energy causes the seismic waves that make the ground shake. When two blocks of rock or two plates are rubbing against each other, they stick a little. When that kind of rocks break, the earthquake occurs. Although I can't explain how the hell this is happening much often." Kyuryo cursed under his breath but Dimo heard it and was shocked to know the real reason and how Kyuryo knows it, he then thought of something and he shivered.

"If what you say is true then I think this is not a natural occurrence, I think this is caused by the desert worm although I call it a worm it's not like a smooth wriggly worm that you can see if you dig a little bit to the earth, this worm has hard scales and sharp razor teeth, it can shatter stones like it's made of paper I think it's more appropriate to call it an Earth Dragon. I saw one once and it didn't end up well for me, I was almost shredded to pieces by the worm." Dimo said with horror on his face. He was so pale that you can mistake him as a dead person.

"If this is really caused by that Earth Dragon, then this will be tricky, the earthquake won't stop and will keep coming if we don't hunt this thing down." Kyuryo was solemn when he thought on how to hunt this big thing and how he can defeat or exterminate this big and scaly creature.

"I once saw an Earth Dragon surfacing, and saw it chasing after a creature called Dinoheist , a pig like creature that has massive jaws that can tear through flesh, although I call this Dinoheist a pig it's not a herbivore but a carnivore, it hunts preys using it's bulky body and knocks them down before biting the life out of them but they were just meals for the Earth Dragon, I once saw an Earth Dragon grinding on a Dinoheist. I was so scared that when I saw them the first time I immediately ran as fast as I can." Dimo said with a horrified look.

"So we need to hunt this Dinoheist first in order to draw the Earth Dragons out of the soil huh?" Kyuryo asked Dimo.

"I'm not really sure but it's worth a try, we can also hunt Dinoheist for the time being by using this bow thing of yours, even though Dinoheist is big, I have eaten one before, because it fell into my trap and I killed it by using a lot of means necessary for the kill." Dimo said while reminiscing the taste of the Dinoheist's cooked meat.

"We can think about that later, for now let's find a good place to sleep, we can't be here outside without any shelter." Kyuryo suggested.

"I have a place in mind, let's go." Dimo said.

Dimo and Kyuryo went to the place that Dimo was talking about, it was a massive tree and Dimo led me to a hole in the tree and was surprised to see the interior of it, it feels like someone lived here before.

"I saw this place years ago, It seems to me that someone was living in this place but didn't returned, I discovered this when it was raining and I have no place to hide from the rain, I took shelter under this big tree and saw a whole, at first I didn't mind it but when my curiosity got the better of me I went near the hole and tried to stick my head inside and saw a wide space inside the tree with lots of things unfamiliar to me." Dimo sat down on the bench made of tree and stretched his body. "Let's rest for now and think about those troublesome things for tomorrow."

Dimo fell asleep, Kyuryo went around the place to check the surroundings, he then saw letters embedded into the tree.
