Our Journey Together (Philippines - Banaue 02)

Next morning was a struggle for both of them. The town was covered with thick fog and with almost zero visibility. It was raining and cold. The shower in the hostel doesn't have heater.

Jungye asked for water heater so they can both have showers.

After having shower, they went down to the hostel restaurant to have their breakfast. They asked the receptionist about the transportation going to Batad. They were advised to take either a jeepney or a tricycle. The jeepney has schedule when it will leave the town to go to Batad while the tricycle will leave as soon but you have to rent it for the whole tour.

They decided to take the tricycle. They had several stops and Jungye was asked by the driver to sit behind him because the way is so steep and the motor only can take one person inside the sidecar.

They reached Batad and the road is under construction due to massive landslide. They were greeted by the tour guide and asked if they need help wandering around the town. They refused to accept the offer and just relied on their maps.me navigation.

Shin was complaining about the muddy road as she slipped a lot of times and her butt is already full of mud. Jungye can't stop laughing at her. He can't never understand why Shin is so careless and weak on her balance.

Shin:"Stop laughing! It's not funny!"

Jungye:" Sorry baby, I can't carry you to my back. The walking paths are very narrow and we are beside the cliff...just be careful ok?"

Shin: "I will never ask you to carry me in your back. That's so cheesy and embarrassing!" she pouted her lips and walk fast to keep her distance near Jungye.

The navigation seems malfunctioning and they are in a splitting pathways. One left going up with houses and the right going straight but it doesn't have any houses built around. Maps.me was telling them to go right.

They both looked into each other eyes asking whether to follow the navigation and go with what they are seeing.

Shin: " I think it's better for us to be on the left path seems there are houses along the way...if we get lost then we can ask someone for directions."

Jungye: " I think we should go right....because it's always right."

Shin: " I don't get the logic...not because it's the right side it doesn't mean that it is always right! You see there's no houses along the way... and it's beside the cliff!" there's a hint of desperation and panic on her voice.

Jungye went closer to Shin and pulled her into his arms "calm down baby. It's safe here and I will not let anything bad happen to you" He gave her a quick kiss and held her hand leading the way to the left path.

Shin: " I thought we are going right...why are we leading the left path?"

Jungye: " I trust your judgement. So I will follow you." then he turned to face her and gave her a sweet smile with a wink.

Shin: " You are being sweet again... you are making me fall for you deeper and deeper everyday."

Jungye: " That's good so you will never look for another man...other than me" and he laughed.

Shin just smiled widely and feeling the warmth in her heart. 'After all what I've been through, thank you for giving me a man that will love me no matter what'.

They walked around Batad Rice Terraces and took a lot of pictures. Jungye keeps on stealing kisses on Shin's lips whenever she is not looking at him or whenever he can catch her off guard. He just loved how she blushed and looked into her surroundings thinking someone might be looking at them having public display of affection.

They reached the top view deck where you can see the whole terraces. Then Jungye shouted "Shin, I love youuuuuuu!"

Her jaw dropped and was embarrassed because there are other tourist who are near them also taking pictures of the amazing scenery.

Shin: "baby, omg! you don't have to shout it... I know...and I love you too.." she stood near him and just replied with a low voice.

A local guide and other tourists who heard them just clapped their hands and cheered on Jungye.

"Man! that's a way to tell the world you love her!"

"Yeah! If only I am so sweet like that, maybe my girlfriend will be more loving." a tourist said and glanced to the woman beside him.

"Hey! I am loving and sweet too, you just don't realize it...I am sweet on my own way" the woman replied and pouted her lips.

"I am always proud and not ashamed to show my love for her whenever I had the opportunity to make her feel it." Jungye replied to them.

Shin just smiled to everyone and listened to their conversation. 'it's amazing to have a younger man now... I guess... it makes me feel like I am back being a reckless teenager' she thought and smiled to herself. 'these are the characteristics of youngsters nowadays'
