The Grim Reaper's Odd Return.

"Welcome… Welcome King!" A man ran out of a hut and immediately slammed one of the villager's heads into the ground. "I-I'm sorry these poor fools weren't bowing. Your eminence…"

Lie Wei Ying was kind of shocked and started laughing and proceeding forward. "Uhm… there is no need to bow… I just completed a tribulation, and heard there is some food here… is that true?"

Ai Mei smiled and then pat Lie Wei Ying on the back. "There will be… just give us a minute!"

Her brother, Wang Bo, followed her and left Lie Wei Ying to wander through the town. He glanced curiously at the girls and their long hair. Some of them were flying to keep their hair from dragging, while others had them up in huge buns.

He proceeded to make his way towards the table where they were setting up for the party. He was still quite small and floated his chair up, so he could see across from him. When he got up to look, he noticed a man there floating and curiously staring into a ball.

"Ahhh… If it isn't Lie Wei Ying," The man said as he giggled hovering over the ball. "If… if I was aware you were able to challenge fate, I might have already prepared a feast."

Lie Wei Ying hovered over towards him curiously and pointed down at the ball. "If you were able to predict my future with that thing, I'd be very surprised… Are you the oracle that can supposedly predict my future?" He had heard about an oracle over a year ago who created a prophecy.

"Yes… I am… and you're not supposed to be this strong yet! In fact, you were supposed to lose your loved one, and everything you held dear! What exactly is wrong with this ball today?"

The ball would usually show the future like there was only one direction, forward. However, today, it seemed with Lie Wei Ying around, there was two visions in the ball.

"Is there really something wrong with it? How can the future have two directions," Lie Wei Ying said and glanced down at it only seeing a haze.

The shaman's name was quite hard to pronounce, and he didn't bother to mention to tell it to Lie Wei Ying. Instead, he told him everything he could.

"Your two futures are one full of death and misery… Apparently, this was the future before you defied fate, however, at the end of that future you ended up victorious and incredibly strong!" The shaman imagined this was the most likely future but didn't tell Lie Wei Ying.

"…And.. What's the other future?"

"It's well… not something I can see," The shaman replied and turned the ball towards him, "however, I am able to divine one girl you saved is creating all types of havoc in the second realm. You should see her when you're an adult."

Lie Wei Ying leaned in the ball. "You mean you can see Yu Yan? How?"

The shaman sighed and looked too bothered to finish talking, but eventually he did. "She's part of your future, hence, I can comfortably tell you to grow up and then go see her. If I tell you anything else—"

"Uncle, stop scaring Lie Wei Ying," Ai Mei said as she laughed and brought a plate of food. She was barely hovering off the ground and dropped the plate on the table.

"Ah… well.. enough prophecies for a while my child. Let the harvest feast begin!"

….

The party did begin and it went on for roughly five hours. After the party, Lie Wei Ying was stuffed to the brim.

He felt his muscles start buzzing like he was about to have his mini growth spurt. His birthday was just a few weeks away, and he was very excited for it.

Regardless, he had no choice but to stop thinking those thoughts as a very strange looking man appeared with a scythe. He was with the King of the Alter and a strange looking giant.

Lie Wei Ying yawned before he walked forward and drew out his daggers.

"I told you not to bring any friends, Alter King, who are these two?" He didn't recognize either of them, but they recognized him.

One of them was actually the grim reaper, and he came here today after discovering Lie Wei Ying had just completed a tribulation worthy of ascension to the third realm. He was merely at the Cosmic Celestial stage, and decided it best to try and talk his way out of this.

The other man was the Monarch Knight, and after some fierce deliberation, he answered a call from the Alter King. It was either that, or he tried to flee. It was never a good idea to flee from someone stronger then you.

"Well, these two are your friends, and they'd like to offer you some gifts in exchange for forgiveness."

"Oh… really… my friends. Why do I have a feeling one of them wanted to kill my dad?"

The King of the Alter held up his hands and then pointed towards the sky.

"I also brought a few Saint Immortals with me just for protection. After all, I really don't want to fight you… Since, I think there father is dead…"

Ai Mei immediately dropped to her knees and Lie Wei Ying looked over at her with an expression of extreme guilt on his face.

"Ha… HAHAHAHAHA… You're kidding… If you don't have her father with you, I'm going to kill everyone of you except death and this kind looking giant right here."

There were roughly twenty saint immortals in the sky and they were laughing as they condensed their Saint Marks from behind their backs.

These Saint Marks were things he hadn't recognized before. He drew his daggers as the inferno blossomed nearly hovering two thousand feet above him. The image seemed more real than before and had a wicked smile on its face.

"Tsh… you're so innocent Lie Wei Ying… Do you really think I'd let a man die in my mines? I just wanted to test you, little king. However, would you have really fought us?"

The King of the Alter had sweat pouring down his back. 'What kind of boy was this? He'd never seen someone unafraid of twenty saint immortals before.' He thought and finally tossed over a man towards the sobbing Ai Mei.

"D-DDDDAADDDYYYYYYYY WOOOHOOO!"

Wang Bo smiled as he watched his little sister go forward.

The two men next to the King of the Alter also walked forward and kneeled in front of Lie Wei Ying. At this time, the saint immortals, including the King of the Alter left. He looked down curiously at the two men in front of him and didn't quite know what to say.

The grim reaper was giving off an aura of death but had silver hair and a scythe that was rather stylish. He was holding the Monarch Knight by a small chain and tugged on it before the Monarch Knight fell onto the floor.

"I've brought you a gift… This is the Monarch Knight… In exchange for your forgiveness I have turned him into a soul slave for you to have master… If you are willing to let me live, I promise I will serve you well."

Lie Wei Ying bent over and poked the Monarch Knight in the head. It felt weird that he just let him poke him, and he seemed to have no reaction.

"I, uhm, also have talked with the Death System, and since he really likes me, he's willing to offer you one subsystem in exchange for my life. Would you be willing to accept?"
