On the next morning, Professor Lu got up early. After a simple breakfast, he drove to Tirtha Empul, where he had met Lin Ya for the first time.

The people in Bali were Buddhists, and Tirtha Empul was the temple for local people to worship the Buddha.

Many rich people even built temples in their own yards, hoping for the Buddha's protection.

Tirtha Empul was the most famous temple in Bali; many tourists came here to wash their face and hair with the holy water in the temple, hoping it would bring them luck.

After Bali became a destination for international tourists, the place was swarmed by lots of tourists each day. 

Glancing around at the tour buses and swarming Chinese tourists, Professor Lu had complicated feelings inside.

Wearing a cap and carrying a backpack, he entered Tirtha Empul like an ordinary tourist.

The familiar and strange scenes brought memories back to his mind.

He wondered if his conjecture was right.
