Chapter 39: Spoiling Her Like an Ancient Silly Emperor Would

In the Chinese courtyard house, there was an artificial mountain in the garden with a pleasant view.

Gong Siyu was instructing Zhuge Xian's housekeeper and servants to fish for the best Arowana with the best appearance and spirituality from the waterscape pond. When Zhuge Xian and Ji Younai walked out of the Buddha hall, they saw that there were five buckets, each containing one gold or red Arowana that was nearly one meter long. They looked rather majestic, and their scales seemed to be glistening with a metallic luster. 

Zhuge Xian took a glance and almost lost his balance. 

Feeling the pinch, he scurried towards Gong Siyu and told the servants to stop.

"Young Master, what are you doing fishing for the fish in my pond? These are sanguine Arowanas! They are treasures that are one in a million! They're my beloved fishes!" 

Gong Siyu saw Ji Younai following behind Zhuge Xian. 

Ignoring Zhuge Xian, he simply pulled Ji Younai towards him and placed her in front, scrutinizing her from head to toe. 

She did not have a missing limb, and her hair was still neat. She was alright. 

After checking, he put on an evil maniacal smile and pointed at the five fishes at his feet.

"What's wrong with taking a few fishes from you? You can't bear to give them away?"

"No, no, Young Master..." Zhuge Xian answered, feeling the pinch. 

"Even if you can't bear to, you have to give them to me." Gong Siyu snorted and chuckled coldly before continuing, "She likes these fishes, so you should feel honored that I'm going to bring them home and feed them for fun. My person has taken a liking to your fishes so that means you've raised them well."

After saying that, Gong Siyu took out a checkbook from his chest pocket and wrote a two million yuan check, which he then crumpled into a ball and tossed at Zhuge Xian in a dashing manner.

"Look how upset you are. You're acting as if I'm drinking your blood and eating your flesh. Sanguine Arowanas are rare and precious, but two million yuan is enough for you to buy three or four more."

Zhuge Xian accepted the check, but he still couldn't bring himself to smile. 

Gong Siyu had fished out the few Arowana that were of the best quality in the pond. 

The problem was not the value but the fact that they were Fengshui that they had set up to bless the Zhuge Family's generations with wealth. However, it was broken by Gong Siyu, and the Fengshui formation had been ruined. A disaster that would require him to spend a huge amount of money to tide through would inevitably happen. It was bad luck!

Ji Younai was stunned to discover that Gong Siyu had snatched away the cherished fishes of Zhuge Xian, the old divine master, for her sake. He had also spent two million yuan. 

She rested her soft and tender hand that was as white as onion and swung it gently. 

There was a tinge of cowardice in her mellow voice, which was not pretentiously weak. 

"Why don't we just take one? We'll just have fun playing with it and feeding it. Look, he seems so distressed that he's turned pale." 

"One is not enough. If you really like it, it won't be a problem for me to bring the entire pond of fishes back for you." At this moment, Gong Siyu was like an infatuated and silly emperor who would do everything for the sake of seeing his beloved beauty smile. However, after that, he raised his brows and shifted the conversation back to the main topic.

Zhu Gexian was in agony, and he felt as if his heart was bleeding. 

Zhuge Xian's heart ached as he took one last look at the fishes while complaining under his breath that the young master of the Gong Family was a bloodsucker. He sighed helplessly and turned around. He said leisurely, "Young Master and this young lady, please follow me."

Zhuge Xian walked away from the group of servants, including his new wife.

Mysteriously and quietly, he led Gong Siyu and Ji Younai into a confined basement through a secret door in the study.

The exotic treasures in the basement were dazzling.

Bright blue-and-white porcelain ornaments and enamel plates were all considered ordinary goods.

Zhuge Xian was anxious and panicky, fearing that Gong Siyu would fall in love with those treasures too. He had been paying careful attention to the changes in Gong Siyu's expressions along the way.

At the end of the basement, he painstakingly removed an ancient painting that was hanging on the wall, revealing the back of the safe embedded in the wall. He then moved his eyes to the infrared scanner at the side of the safe for identification. With a "click" sound, the safe was opened.

It was the latest type of safes from Europe, which utilized iris-scanning identification technology. Each one cost millions of yuan. 

Zhuge Xian took out a full-black sandalwood box from the safe.

There were all sorts of mysterious patterns and inscriptions, which looked extremely old, carved on the box. 

"I asked you to solve the problem of her third eye for her, and you're showing me this?"

His gaze cold and looming, Gong Siyu stared at Zhuge Xian, as if he was on the verge of flying into a rage. 

"Young Master, don't be impatient! This is an invaluable treasure!" 

He carefully opened the ancient sandalwood box to reveal two droplet-shaped pieces of ancient jade which seemed to be like lamb fat jade. They were laying quietly in the box—their surfaces covered with a layer of faint, warm white light. It looked spiritual and translucent with a mysterious touch of ancientness.

Looking at the two pieces of jade in front of him, Gong Siyu suddenly raised his eyebrows.

He had been friends with Feng Jinxuan since he was a child, so he had seen all sorts of rare objects.

The Gong Family was so powerful that they were not lacking in antiques and treasures.

However, the two pieces of ancient jade in front of him were definitely the best jade he had ever seen. It definitely must have been around for thousands of years in order to have such a beautiful color.

He grabbed the white silk gloves that were handed to him by Zhuge Xian and picked up one of the teardrop-shaped jade pieces that was the size of a thumb. 

An incredible thing happened.

As soon as it was taken out of the sandalwood box, the jade piece in his hand gradually changed from a warm, translucent white color to a blood-red hue while the one that was still lying in the box turned into a dazzling emerald color.

At this moment, Zhuge Xian began explaining slowly. 

"These two pieces of jade are a pair, named Blood Spirit. The red one is Blood Jade while the green one is Spirit Jade. The red jade is sinister and immutable, while the Spirit Jade is pure and flawless. Once they are separated, they will return to their respective colors. Once they are placed together, they will become white excellent thousand-year-old ancient jade."

When Gong Siyu heard this, he put the blood jade in his hand back inside the box. As expected, the two pieces of jade turned back to white at a speed that was visible to the naked eye.

"It's not convenient for me to tell you where these jade pieces are from, but I've been handling jade pieces all my life and I can tell at a glance that this pair of jade pieces is made of extremely rare ancient materials that have been sunk in the depths of the sea for tens of millions of years. After keeping up the suspense, the solution that Zhuge Xian thought of was actually to use the spiritual jade to fend off the ghosts. 

Without saying a word, Gong Siyu snatched the sandalwood box in Zhuge Xian's hand and stuffed it into Ji Younai's arms.

"Name your price. How much do you want?"

Zhuge Xian actually waved his hand and said, "Young Master, what are you saying? I think this girl is kind, so I'll just give it to her as a present."

Gong Siyu was rather conscientious, and hence, he understood that Zhuge Xian will never be able to endure the pain of giving away such a precious treasure unconditionally. He immediately sensed that something was fishy. As such, there was a cold and gloomy gaze in his narrow eyes.

"Zhuge Xian, what scheme have you devised, you sly old fox? When I took a few of your Arowana, you acted like I was trying to kill you. Would you be so kind as to give such a rare treasure to my girl?"

As soon as Ji Younai heard Gong Siyu calling her his person, she looked at him in bewilderment. 

'Can I take it that I'm someone he brought here?'

Seeing that Gong Siyu had seen through his scheme, Zhuge Xian frantically begged for mercy and gave an explanation.

"No, Young Master, like I've said, these two jade pieces are a pair, and they've existed for at least three thousand years. All antique jade pieces are spiritual, but this pair is too sinister. I, Zhuge Xian, really can't suppress it. I was initially planning to give them away these few days, but you arrived and sought help from me, so I decided to give it to you!
