Everyone was looking at him.
Those passersby who were passing by him and Sophia were strangely looking at him.
"Why are they looking at me?"
Ernest asked Sophia who was walking by him.
"I believe it's your clothes, Sir Ernest. They aren't familiar with what you're wearing, even though I don't know what silk is used to create that cloth."
Said Sophia, who was also staring at his appearance.
"So that's the reason huh?"
Upon reincarnation, Ernest doesn't have an extra cloth to wear. He only wore his hoodie that time. Then it got drenched in blood and reek of smell, making him uncomfortable so he bought a new type of clothes in the system using tyrant points.
There are a lot of varieties of clothes in the system which is somewhat cheap. He expended 300 tyrant points on it.
He predicted that it's going to be cold and chilly outside. So he bought a Fendi shaded effect ff motifs coat, black trousers, and black shoes.
On Earth, Ernest was conscious about what he wears, so when he goes shopping, he always buys the best.
Without any idea about what people wear in this world, Ernest became the center of attraction for wearing modern clothing.
This world is similar to medieval-ages Europe. People wearing tunics, the roads are muddy and filled with dung from who knows who.
In short, Ernest can describe the place he is currently in, in three words: cold, wet, and miserable.
But that's not important, what's important is the current lifestyle of the people living here. Not just people, but any other people, what I mean by that, is this world really has different races.
There are people who have dog ears, cat ears, tails which are probably called beastmen. People with pointy ears, pale skin, and tall are elves, and people who have a small stature and bulky bodies are dwarves.
This is his first time seeing a different species. What an experience.
After spending about ten minutes walking around the city, Ernest noticed a huge line of people. Elves, dwarves, and humans lining up as they wait to receive their ration food of soup and bread.
"That Ernest is where we get our food. It just comes here once a day." Sophia said as she pointed at the huge line of people.
Ernest already noticed that, but he wanted to give Sophia an affirmation that he noticed that, so he nodded his head in return. Besides that, he also noticed the look of the people who are walking down the streets.
Their lifeless eyes, walking while looking down as if there's a rope tied around their neck, depressing. This place is depressing and Ernest can't help but pity them for their misery.
They continued walking on the gutter until Ernest bumped at someone. The young man who appears to be at an age of five years old falls down on the ground.
"Hey, are you okay?" Ernest offered his hand with an apologetic expression.
"Uhm...mister...do you have any coins to spare? My mother is sick please and I need to buy her medicine…"
A coin huh? Ernest remembered that he had some coins he received from the system. It was ten gold coins that he kept in his pocket. Ernest fished his hand into his pocket and grabbed one gold coin—.
"What?!....Sophia?"
Suddenly, Sophia grabbed his arm, stopping him from pulling it out from his pocket after seeing the glint of golden metal grasped in his hand.
Sophia leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Sir Ernest, I'm sorry for surprising you but I think it's best to not offer that gold coin to that child. You've been attracting attention with your clothes and when they see you giving a gold coin to a child you will be targeted by the criminals here."
Hearing that, Ernest gives up on the idea of giving the child a coin. It's really dangerous of him to do so anyway. But he still felt bad for the child.
"I'm sorry, I think I left it at home. Don't worry, your misery will soon end, I promise you."
After saying that, Ernest continued walking down the streets with Sophia, leaving the child coldly behind.
"I think I have seen enough," Ernest said inwardly.
"Sir Ernest...The restaurant that you've been wanting to see is just two streets away."
"You know what you can stop calling me sir. You don't need to be that respectful to me since we're at the same age."
"But Sir...It would be disrespectful since you save my life…"
"You got it completely wrong. I didn't save your life out of pity. I just found you useful in the near future so I decided to save you from your misery. So please...you can forget the Sir thing."
Ernest's voice was cold, making Sophia tremble a bit.
"O-Okay Si—I mean Ernest."
Thus they continued heading to the restaurant Ernest wanted to see. What is that restaurant anyway? Earlier, upon leaving Sophia's house, he received a word from a passerby telling him if he's interested in hearing a meeting of the citizens of this city who are planning to protest their misery to the city lord. Ernest was interested in the idea so he asked for directions and had Sophia lead him the way.
"We're here. Ernest."
Ernest looked at the shop. From the sound coming out of the door, Ernest can tell that the restaurant is crowded.
"Okay, let's go."
…
Several moments later, Ernest received a notification from the system.
[Congratulations on completing the main quest: Explore the city.]
[You've received 15,000 tyrant points.]
[New side quest unlocked: Listen to the meeting.]
[Reward: 5,000 tyrant points.]
…
Upon entering the restaurant, Ernest was met with a strange gaze by different people. There are elves, dwarves, beastman, and humans congregated at one table.
But he ignored their piercing gaze and headed to the table where humans were congregated.
"It seems that we have enough guests to start the meeting." Said the middle-aged man who was standing on the stage.
Ernest leaned his back on the wall and started listening.
"So everyone. I would like to thank you for coming here to express your feelings freely in this restaurant. Who would like to go first?"
"I do." Said the young elf who seemed to be in his early twenties as he walked up to the stage.
"Hello, guys. My name is Alwin, I'm an elf and I would like to share my grief with all the people here. This expression of mine could be simplified with one word. Shit!" He suddenly changed his voice, "I have enough with this unequal treatment the elves are having in this country. Ever since the war ended our king became the puppet of the Empire. Complying with their demands. My tribe suffered the most! They kidnapped and killed a lot of my tribesmen for simply doing nothing. And those who were kidnapped were either turned to slave or sex slave by those filthy humans…."
"Huh? Filthy humans?! You were the ones who caused this country to fall into ruins in the first place!" Shouted infuriatingly by the middle-aged man near Ernest. It seems that he's the human representative of this meeting.
"Sir Wayne, you'll have your time to speak up. Please refrain from speaking…" The event organizer advised.
"No, you shut up! Don't tell me what to do. My hatred for demi-humans had never been high like this. Hey Alwin! Why do you think our country got the ire of the Empire? Huh? I'll give you an answer. It's because of your kind!"
"What did you just say?" Alwin returned.
"You heard me! It's because of your race! Not just your race but beastmen and dwarves. You're all the reason why this country's fall to ruins."
"You take that back, you filthy human! You're the reason why our peaceful lives shattered! It's because of your fucking mindset that humans are superior while demi-humans are not." Said by a random man from the ranks of beastmen.
"Yeah! He's right! It's because of humans!" shouted the dwarves.
"You humans are the reason we are experiencing this! You don't even consider our feelings. You don't know what it feels like to lose someone close to you. Our family has been the one suffering the most!" The dwarves' frustrations were unleashed. "Our race is being forced to work, die to work at the mining camps. Elves were used for farming laborers and sex labors and their harvest which is supposed to feed us are forcibly traded to the Empire. While the beastman was being used to transport it, they had to cross a dangerous road filled with monsters! In short. We are the ones who are suffering the most. Yet you humans just stand there and complain that you have nothing to eat. What do you think of us? Can we survive without eating? We share your grief and yet you're targeting us. You're no different to the Empire's citizens."
"Yeah, that's right." The beastman said. "Do you even know how much money to buy a loaf of bread? Yesterday it was six silver coins and now it rose to fucking 15 silver coins."
"Mass unemployment, food scarcity, economic crisis...." Alwin's voice was filled with rage. "The founding fathers are wrong! Humans and demi-human can't coexist. History has been telling us that and now we're suffering from it."
"Hmmph!" Wayne scoffed, "This country would be better without your races mingling here in the first place."
"You take that back!" Alwin retorted.
While listening to their grief and frustration from the corner, Ernest suddenly received a notification from the system.
[New main quest unlocked!]

Mission: Use the outrage of the people and blame someone for their misery.]
[Rewards: 50,000 tyrant points and a possible platform and followers.]
After receiving his new main quest. Ernest acted and walked towards the center. Sophia, who was also listening, failed to stop him from his sudden movement.
In the middle of frustrated and angry people, they mysteriously stopped. Why? Because Ernest was now in the center, attracting their attention.
"Who are you?" asked Wayne.
"I'm just an ordinary fellow who has his grief to express." He struck his head up at Alwin who was the current speaker.
"Human? What do you want?"
Ernest smirked, "Get out of the stage and watch."
