Maybe that’s why Juliet didn’t fight his intrusion into her life as much as she should have. Her attachment to the one steady rock in her "normal" life holds back everything that she needs to do for herself and fix what wrongs she made in the past.

Agnes also had a younger sibling. He was weak, ignorant, and vicious, and he made enemies wherever he went. So it was unsurprising that he went missing early in the novel.
The problem was that the book's weak cannon fodder, who was killed at the beginning, later turned into a demon. And to make matters worse, he'd be killed by his own sister.

‘kau mau?’ tawar gadis kecil itu.
Jari-jari mungil menyentuh bibir Kou dan ia dapat merasakan jika gadis kecil itu menyuapinya cokelat yang ada di tangannya. Kou memakannya dan tindakannya itu membuat gadis kecil itu senang.
‘Namaku Ayane, umurku 5 tahun. Namamu siapa?’
Kou tersenyum lembut. Meskipun ia tidak dapat melihat dengan jelas, namun ia tahu jika gadis kecil di sampingnya adalah anak baik.
