The light novel version of High School DxD is a lot better than the anime because the light novel has more details and a more consistent plot, and the best point of the light novel is that it shows characters' thoughts in their heads. For example, it shows that Issei has more personality than just being a pervert; he isn't thinking about a harem all the time. Furthermore, the light novel shows that while Issei yells about wanting a harem, he never plans nor wants to add any girls to his harem. It also shows that he has respect for some people, such as Sairaorg, and surprisingly, Issei has good grades and shows that he is capable of being a wise and charismatic leader when his team loses Dulio in the Azazel Cup. Additionally, the light novel shows that Issei gains a new dream of making the world into peaceful place and decides not to bring any life into the world until he makes the world a peaceful place. However, in the anime version, the animators ruin scenes from the light novel by adding scenes that didn't exist, like Issei perving on Raynare as she kill him, and they even ruined the poetic scene when Issei meet Asia by turning it into a pervy scene and Ect..."
