i have not read it yet, but a naruto, written logically , who was not starved or attention, would latch onto anyone giving him positive attention. even cannon, they should ahve become friendly much sooner. only reason they did not was because kishimoto wanted to keep both naruhina and narusaku fans interested.

no, in cannon they were friendly but the nature of their characters wouldn't have made them friends sooner. The issue with this one is they just give you Hinata right off the bat and magically they gonna like eachother. That's the author already having intent and just forcing it. Naruto just gets put into class and wow, it just so happens that he sits n It's Harem so that makes even more sense. Hinata being timid is why she and Naruto don't have a real relationship of any kind the entire series. A goal driven , charismatic and popular individual will always be moving forward and onto bigger stages, If anything , the only reason Naruto and Hinata even happened is cause kishi intervened and just made it happen despite how little sense that made
