It's just bad. The main character has no developed personality or motivation, he is an ordinary dummy who reacts to changes and does something because why not. All this Japanese is also strange and unnecessary. The author has a dubious taste for franchises that are uninteresting to the vast majority of readers like Digimon, Kamen Rider, Doraemon and Keroro, things and people from which are unknown to many even hardcore anime fans, and therefore boring to them.

I already implied about his motivation several times that he wants to survive, MC is dummy I know no argue with that, and the development part, his personality is still not even set and there are no external factors that make him grow. This story is very slow progress so it might be a lot of chapters later if you expect his development to show. But about my taste, I think it might be because I'm in Asia and grew up with Japanese TV series and anime (Only watched Ben10 and Rex at that time) so I'm more familiar with them.
there onmy a few chapter ill check this out once it hits around 50...
