(DISCLAIMER: This has spoilers. I would put the spoiler warning but people misuse it so much I’m afraid nobody will read this if I do) So he was born, locked away, trained to fight, ran away, fought a shadow for 3,000 years, became a gladiator, escaped, fought a civil war, became king of a planet, got married, and went to OA to meet the Guardians all in the space of 12 chapters I don’t want to say that’s rushed but it’s very rushed The pacing on this is horrendous which is a pity cah it could’ve been a great story And so for those reasons I’m giving this story close to 3 stars Would’ve in all honesty given 1 star but for the potential it holds and because I had fun trolling someone in the comments it gets 2.8

Honestly your writing is excellent I don’t remember any grammatical errors The dialogue was okay The story premise is there and the plot seems very interesting The only problem is the pacing, because of it I can’t get a grasp on the world background I don’t have enough time to feel the emotions in the story And I can’t immerse myself into the story and that is very important for any story To make everything seem like it is actually happening and this is the real life of Markus and what happens to him and around him it needs to be paced at a reasonable pace Everything is happening too fast too soon if you had spaced it out to let’s say the first 12 chapters becoming maybe 50 or somewhere close to 100 chapters or even 100+ chapters, I promise you I would’ve given you 5 full stars
