This story is full of shit. This is the first time I'm writing a review and I'm so mad right now. The author keeps on writing how the ex is in love with the female lead. I call bullshit. "She would lose her life; I had to pretend not to love her." Excuses you shitty ex. I almost thought that the author would make the ex husband the male lead. If he was, I would drop the book immediately. It better be Lu Yan or I'm throwing hands. If the ex loved her, he would have never married the FL so early knowing that he didn't have the power to protect her. And why couldn't he at least let her know that he loved her in private. He never communicated with her and never clarified that he didn't want to treat her like shit. He was making excuses for himself and even had the audacity to treat another woman like a treasure in front of the FL when they were still married and let his sister bully her. He just wanted to possess her and didn't care about what actually happened to her, and now that they aren't together he started pestering her and says that she can only like him. That motherfucker. Just because she liked you for ten years doesn't mean she'll tolerate constantly being treated like absolute shit in her husband's family and never fight back. Whatever love she had for the ex was worn out during those three years and rightfully so. So what if you saved her pictures and spent 20 billion dollars on her? Those three years will never be erased; it's too late. You cold-faced piece of shit. You owe her the world for how you neglected her and let you family call her around like a dog. If she was really a country bumpkin, then she would have never been able to get revenge for all those years of bullshit. I feel like the author is trying to whitewash and justify why the ex treated the FL like shit. NEWS FLASH: it's not working.
