Review Detail of Cenonn in Holonatural Occurences(Hololive Fanfiction)

Holonatural Occurrences is a story about a boy named Haru Shinzou struggling like every other teeanage boy. He might start off as a suicidal Hachiman rip-off but he has his charms as a protagonist who got roped into the supernatural world and is trying to adjust to it. Now let's break it down. Writing Style- 7/8 The author follows English grammar quite well and formatted his sentence in a way that wouldn't hurt the eyes. There are a few awkward sentences here and there but it's not noticeable to the point that it would irritate the readers. However, be mindful of the occasional typos such as interchanging "sensei" and "senpai." Story 8/8- It's unique alright. Most Hololive fics that I've seen (Wattpad, Fanfiction.net, AO3, and a bit on Webby) are either fashioned like Hololive Alternative so it's a fantasy story OR it's set in the modern era with a Slice of Life about the characters working as Vtubers. This one is set in the modern era BUT it's not about their lives as a Vtuber. In this story, they are actually supernatural creatures living among the general populace. Also, there are many foreshadowing and stuff which would keep you interested for more. Characters- Hololive Characters 8/8 The girls are portrayed in an interesting manner. Some of them stayed true to their in-stream personalities while the others are exaggerated but believable. They also have a purpose in the fic which makes it good. OCs 6/8- Haru starts off as a rip-off Hachiman. Heck, when starting out, I thought he would remain that way.. As you read on, you'll see some developments about him. There are a few other OCs here like a rip-off Hayama who is a popular guy and a rip-off Hiratsuka-sensei who dealt with problematic students. They haven't had much time to shine and I don't know if the author would shine the spotlight on them. But they work fine as characters and actually propel the plot forward instead of being "just there." Tags- Romance- While it had a tag like this, there aren't much about romance yet unless you count a certain phoenix and a grim reaper. It's more of a slow romance that focuses on developing the feelings instead of just going straight to the good parts. Action- The fight scenes were okay. I'm not exactly an expert in that but I could paint the scene nicely so the author did a good job. Harem- While it has the harem tag, it's not a Pokedex Harem where the protagonist "catches them all" and have every female falling for him without a reason. As I've stated in above, it's a slow romance that focused on developing the relationships. I'm looking forward to how the author would deal with this tricky tag. Recommended for: -People who are looking something different from fantasy stories and modern slice of life stories. -Love character development. -People who love questions. There are far too many unanswered questions in this story and you'll have fun theorizing until the author drops a chapter. Overall 8/8: It's an amazing story if you don't count the sort of rocky start (Even the start is a rip-off Oregairu). But it would get interesting as you read on.
