I remember this story on the pit lol. I believe it was one of the first I ever read, alongside Chunin Exam Day (totally conflicting stories I know). I remember waiting eagerly for the next chapter some days, and if I'm being honest I think it was one of the stories that made me start to prefer serious fan fictions. I do know that the author did give away the right to finish it (something that made me very sad) and I believe they would be okay with this crossposting you have done. As far as the story goes it has one of the best characterizations of the characters of Naruto that. I know. With believable arcs and realism that hits home, it is a great story. Beyond the occasional spelling mistake the story flows into a grim, but hopeful story. I recommend this to anyone looking for a Fan Fic from Naruto that lacks all the standard tropes of betrayal and hatred.
