I'll give it a shot because I like another book by this author but this seems like a copy of My Scumbag System by Riksari.
This chapter portrays the main character as uncharacteristically emotionally unintelligent towards other people, which goes against how the author has written the rest of this book. He may not be very emotionally intelligent about his own feelings, but he is quite astute at others, so for him to not only not pick up on why Misato is trying to do what she's doing but also just allowing her to walk away clearly upset, just seems odd.
The writing quality with this book is absolutely atrocious. Literally the first sentence of the first chapter is incorrect. "I should have never given you birth." Uh, how about "I should have never given birth to you." Seriously? Not exactly off to a promising start. As you continue on after that, you encounter at least three other grammatical errors in the first chapter alone. I used to try and give some slack with stuff like this, understanding that the Author may not be proficient in English, but I'm done. When the errors are this frequent and this bad, I'm sorry but you lose me as a reader. That tells me that bare minimum you don't proof read your own material, or better yet, have someone else proof read it.
Appreciate the thorough review. I was considering picking this one up, but after your review I think I'll pass. Thanks for saving me the time.
Agreed. Not to mention it makes no sense to go that route. Quintessential Quintuplets already does the same exact thing. Why follow that format when you can write a better one where three sisters don't get burned.
Boooo. You have the creative powers to take this wherever you want. Don't be boring and normal like Quintessential Quintuplets.
It's getting pretty annoying.
Suspicious...or jealous?
For a MC who's so smart I'm kinda surprised to see him try to just....brush everything under the rug. I mean I get where he's coming from but still. Ya can't just pretend everything is normal after everything that happened... Interested to see how this plays out.
Really enjoying the story, but the language barrier from the author is evident in the writing and is pretty distracting. More than once every chapter I find myself having to re-read a sentence to try and understand what the author is meaning to say.
