Really been loving this fic recently. This is a really well done slice of life which is super hard to find. No forced involvement in canon events, no random drama, and most important of all: not boring. MC is reasonably strong, and has cool Pokémon (no ralts). Looking forward to more!

I really like that the MC is an old dude that knows nothing about isekai or anime, I haven’t seen such a premise before so it makes the tropes seem fresh. The dialogue and interaction has good bones but is somewhat crippled by the “editing tool” we all know and hate. Constantly repeating descriptions, irrelevant descriptive language, etc. Everytime the MC teaches someone he compares it to an agriculture lesson, Everytime usop speaks he’s trembling in his boots, luffy wants meat, zero is lost, etc. these tropes are good to introduce the character to the reader but they should not be the core personality traits of the characters.

Yeah I guess when voldy switches bodies he tends to use living ones, I don’t remember if Ginny was going to die or “die”. But maybe he didn’t use dead bodies for the reason you said yourself, they are weak to fire/ holy etc and they smell really bad like we saw with quirrel

Voldemort does a bunch of necromancy tho. His body resurrection ritual, his army of inferi, and his various soul magic

Idk what to tell you man, nobody is forcing you to like the fic. You just gotta accept that people have different taste. Calling this story trash and boring cuz the Pokemon are lvl 30 is silly when the elite 4 have Pokémon at lvl 50

I feel you. Some people just prefer low key protag. Maybe check out “secretly cultivate for a thousand years” and see if it converts you to the light

Didn’t read this translate and it’s been years since I read the original, I vaguely remember him doing bounties and missions for the black market. I think he sticks with team rocket so long as it’s safe and profitable. And yeah Chinese fics tend to run as long as possible, but keep in mind the chaps could be split for translation so it might only be chapter 90-130
