Let be real, Batman and Lex Luthor are two sides of the same coin. One understands the need of a ‘higher power’ and to be able to ‘protect’ humanity in the case of corruption. The other advocates for the total removal of anything ‘alien’ as they would prevent humanity from advancing as they would rely on this ‘higher power’ And in the end, they are both rights and wrongs taken to the extreme.
