**Unexpected Ambiguity** Ye Lingtian may have been the underground king of Wanghai, but his home was surprisingly modest. The three-story building, nestled in a small courtyard, wasn’t any larger than the house Ye Fei and his sister lived in. As Ye Fei followed Xu Shuyun across the courtyard and up the stairs, his mind wandered. Preoccupied with his thoughts, he didn’t notice when Xu Shuyun suddenly stopped after just a few steps, as if she had something to say. Snapped out of his daze, Ye Fei immediately let go, stammering, “I’m sorry, Aunt Xu. I didn’t mean it.” Her initial anger softened as she heard his apology. She had known Ye Fei since he was a child, and despite the awkwardness of the situation, she couldn’t stay angry at him. Slowly, she began to push herself off him, but as she moved, his body pressed against hers again, causing an unintentional brush of contact at the groin that sent a sharp jolt through her. The sensation was undeniable. “Oh!” Xu Shuyun gasped, her face flushing with embarrassment. She quickly stood, straightened her clothes, and led Ye Fei into the living room before excusing herself to change in the bedroom.
