Lilith took in 200 servants, they aren’t all at Emperor or Supreme Rank, yet they are quite useful. These girls are Lith’s personal servants and wouldn’t be involved in administrative matters. They would appear more later.

she's not a human but a druid. she has been raised among very virtuous people, and not everybody is a pro at adapting to a new environment like the humans. everybody needs time, and there are many who don't want to leave their comfort zones as they don't have much ambitions. think about it... the girl's family and clan is destroyed. she has nowhere to go. what could motivate her to not be timid and come out of her shell? once she finds these answers, I'm sure she won't be as useless.

life's not always about someone being useful or not, my friend. if you look at things through this perspective, then everything becomes about profiting and benefits. your life's whole purpose would turn into grabbing people to fuel your success, and in this, you'll not be able to enjoy the various joys life has to offer. the girl may be useless, but think of it in this manner: she found herself a good place and her talent would not go unnoticed. Lith also found himself walking the path of alchemy due to her and striving to be better than her. then there's an underlying value in these scenes — the value that hard work doesn't go unrewarded and there will always be better times, dark times will not last, you just have to be patient and preserve. hope this clears up the things :D

You could think it this way as to why his mother is not helping: Imagine your mom’s very smart. You are a toddler currently and need to be enrolled in school. But, since your mom is really smart, she decides to homeschool you. You don’t lack money, you don’t lack anything, yet you get homeschooled for all your life. How would it feel? Won’t you miss out on a lot of things? Like meeting new friends, getting involved in school drama, doing sports, having competition with your peers, and falling in love. Hope this helps :D

He did work his way from bottom though. Awakening skeletons was of low rank and part 1 of the spell. By taking them further, reviving their bodies, he slowly makes his way to King Rank. Hope this helps :)
