firstly, he isn't physically equipped with the stones. Sceptre was stored in beelzebuth (he took it out in his illusion only) and the other stones are on resurrected Thanos. secondly, I don't think stones can warn their user of anything. in movies Thanos was caught by surprise many times by strange and even by stark. as for him not having food defense against magic, I agree, he needs to get stronger... 😚
