The First 10 or so chapters were written as a hobby anything after that is fair game for criticism. I am too far gone to change the chapters to fit more correctly and your last point about uncle ben. You want him to make technology and patent it to earn money, he didn't have the starting capital for it and once he earned that he realised he wasn't in a hurry at least not until something major comes up. Making a company or product and selling it is a big thing for any teenager to do, it would be hard, you'll face resistance and it won't be done overnight. Any capital he earned has been put into buying a safe bet like the Stark shares which he knows will rise.

If I made it so that Peter is always on that Sigma male grind set then all I will have is a power scaling contest. if you didn't notice most villains he faced till now were dealt with easily. it was the slippery ones that he had to actually deal with. I would say he is making plans for every eventuality there is but I'm not showing all of that as It would feel boring to know what his plan is before the battle even starts.
