He kind of just wanted to leave at that point. Plus it comes up later, I didn't forget it totally. But you're right at first I pretty much forgot about it, but later I wrote about it so I'd have to rewrite two chapters so I'm fine with him just wanting to leave because frankly I'd want to be done with her at that point as well.

Unfortunately, it simply means natural camouflage in terms of them looking identical to rocks in an area entirely covered in rocks. If they aren't moving they look like the landscape. It isn't an actual passive ability. Good thinking though.

Yeah, I kind of decided to start this way because I wanted Sol to start the story tossed aside by the people around him and then I'd fill in the blanks along the way through him learning about the world because he's rather ignorant as well. So his initial thought would be the same as the reader, "Why am I here? Why me?" So we slowly learn things, but I can see why that's not everyone's cup of tea when I'm dropping you right into it and talking about it. I'll definitely take what you said into consideration, most of this was really rushed when I was writing because of the contest.

I don't totally know what you mean. Just solid leather covering his body, with minor metal armor to keep from overweighing him. The bracers on his arms are to be used in battle to protect the face if he brings his arms up.

Honestly when I imagined my character carrying around a slime trying to sneak into the city I got brief flashes of Ash, I'm not going to lie.

That would work for some things, but not always. If a monster is fast enough to dodge or strong enough to escape the slime might not hold forever. Plus sometimes they are specifically trying to fight monsters, if you read a bit further you see he has reasons to hunt certain monsters.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you've been viewing it positively so far. Generally there's a bit of humor in the lighter sections of the story, but once the action or darker parts come in I back off that a bit.
