hard to say honestly. By the time I'd realized the timeline errors I had too much work backed up for release and I also had too much invested around the current time point. Nowadays I get a small A6 journal and map out q story before committing. keep audio logs as well

Audio logs. Take your phone or tablet or any recording device and dictate. Also keep a physical hard copy of your ideas. Each Story I'm writing gets its own A6 journal. Trust me it helps
