The novel had a cool concept, but it didn’t quite work for me. The story feels too much like Shadow Slave and struggles to stand out on its own. The main character is supposed to be smart, but his decisions don’t reflect that. He doesn’t use his overpowered ability as well as he could, and some of his choices just don’t make sense, like in the mountain cave scene where he missed an obvious chance to level up. One of the biggest issues is how similar this novel is to Shadow Slave. From the main character's name to the supporting characters and even the overall plot, it feels like a copy rather than an original story. The direction of the story, including where it seems to be heading, mirrors Shadow Slave so closely that it loses its own identity. This makes it hard to fully engage with the story, as it feels like a less polished version of something I've read before. The pacing is also weird. The main character fights in wars but barely levels up his talents, which doesn’t add up. The start of the story is rushed, and the character development is weak. For example, the main character is aware of everything as an infant but doesn’t use that to his advantage. He doesn’t even try to learn skills that could help him later. On the positive side, the book is well-written, at least in my opnion, better than most novels in this website. But overall, the story lacks common sense and logical decision-making, which makes it hard to enjoy.
The story is engaging, the characters are well-developed, and the pacing keeps you hooked. The author has done a great job fixing any grammatical errors, making for a smooth reading experience. Even with just the free chapters, I can confidently recommend this novel to anyone looking for a good read.
Okay, so the prologue might test your patience, but hang in there – it's setting up something epic! ⏳ Fair warning: the prologue's a slow burn, but once it ignites, you're in for an electrifying ride! ⚡️
Looks like he didn't learn anything from his first death...
No mana regen after level up 🤔
