Well... 1. The guards have already checked the place. 2. When someone comes, I think people who have ears (in this village - all of them) will be able to hear someone approaching. 3. After the return of a loved person presumed dead for 2 years, the joy is a little too big to care. 4. A novel isn't about everything being perfectly planned. I write a story about human beings who tend to make mistakes when in strong emotions. Thank you :)
