Overall, the writing is solid. My issue is the unnecessary dragging of the most:the fl’s identity as an heiress of the wealthiest family. I read up until the 600th chapter, and the weak villains still exist. What’s the point of having money, power, and influence when she allows the roaches (a family that doesn’t even rank on the third tier, according to the novel) to continue with their low-level schemes?
I’m sorry, but those who pity the villains are weak because they neither sympathize nor empathize with their “victims”; so, it’s wise to use a heavy with them because they wouldn’t be soft.
The reveal was anticlimactic regarding Linda. All these chapters with her schemes and lengthy verbal insults, the end is a “no” and a quiet whisked away? It would be nice to show her mental breakdown after she learned about Kathleen’s true identity.
No, she should be in jail for kidnapping Kathleen.

Wasn’t Mabel the assistant to Linda at the beginning of the story?

I thought the boss of the Dark Organization “took care” of Linda.
I guess the author remembered the banquet after all. It took long enough; one month in this book spans almost two hundred chapters.

Oh, so you do have some self-awareness.
You wouldn’t have believed her then just like now.
🤦🏽♀️
Really? You’re too arrogant; Linda screwed you over more than once, with each worst than the last.
I thought there was a banquet planned to announce Kathleen’s identity as Janice Wyatt. The author mentioned this earlier in the book wherein it was a month away; it seems the writer forgot just to prolong the worst kept secret. Kathleen looks like her mother, father, and brother with distinct features (e.g., face, eyes, hair), yet no one can see the obvious.
