Shouldn't he have equipment if he ran the occasional D-Rank Dungeon? Or is it one of those things where they lend him the gear for the run only for it to be returned after completion? Or was he a Miner or something?

I 100% agree it's weird. I looked it up and it's more of a school district thing. My school year went from 2nd week of August to 2nd Week of May(though it usually ends around the 25th of May since they add missed days due to snow in there) but apparently other School Districts started in September. It's the same for when in the day school starts. My District started at 8AM-3PM where other people went from 9AM-4PM.

He's honestly not that old in Wizarding years, maybe just over 100. I'm pretty sure it's canon that he started Hogwarts in 1894 or something. I remember it because Hogwarts Legacy either takes place the same year he joined or the year before. The Headmaster before Dumbledore, Dippet, died when he was 354 I believe(which really makes the Philosophers stone obsolete imo since it's shown in the Fantastic Beasts movies that the stone doesn't allow you to keep a youthful appearance so what's the point of being 800 years old when your bones are as good as dust.)

I can't remember but is this Toji from JJK? Cause if so I was really expecting him to be handed Playful Cloud. He's mentioned wanting a weapon in the past and that seems to be the best option for his want to be a Hero. Maybe something he can ask Mei to make after the Sports Festival now that he's been handed a staff?

Damn, one of the very few Festival Pledges that I actually like. most of the time they just seem cringe but I'd put this up there with the Transformers X MHA fic where Optimus Prime gave the speech

Take an Optimus Prime speech and workshop it into something Midoriya would say. Though a lot of what makes those speeches great is the voice

A great fic with an interesting power system. As someone who didn't know this power system was a thing and isn't familiar with Lovecraft's work, this has been a breath of fresh air for DC fics. It's also the perfect universe for it since DC is also "darker" when compared to Marvel, especially with the Gotham setting. The only complaint I have is that I wish there were more updates. Don't get me wrong, once a week is great but it feels like it will be a couple of months before the MC starts to really grow in power. I also hope the detective bit stays throughout the series, usually when there's a gimmick like this in a fic it gets abandoned once the MC starts entering the big leagues. Kind of also hope for romance at some point down the line, but that's a personal thing since I'm a sucker for good romance in novels and DC has great choices for the 'gothic theme' of the fic like with Raven

Just because he has OFA doesn't mean he has to use it all the time. Personally, I'm hoping he will take it since from what I know he seems to be the type of person who will accept a way to get stronger if it was literally handed to him with no repercussions like now. I can also see why people would want him to remain quirkless but with him just having fought the Nomu he 100% should accept it cause no matter how strong Strong Style is, I doubt it would be helpful in fighting the Nomu. Getting OFA would just mean he should fight like Goku, start the fight normally and slowly unleash more of your strength if it's needed.
