MC seems a bit mentally unstable, too much of the author's puppet and lacking when it comes to being himself. MC is repeatedly inconsistent in what he wants to do and is extremely inefficient and insecure. MC is bad at following up on things properly and the background scheming of the story is just too weird, the MC not taking enough advantage of the world around him and not trusting enough in his cheat, using his cheat very poorly.

This makes me think he really should have gotten 2 carriages. One for him, one for any servants that need to do things. He can easily afford it so why not?
