The synopsis had me hooked, and the book itself did not disappoint. There's not much good horror out there these days, and I'm really curious to see where the author takes this.
Not my usual genre, but there is pure emotion and love on every page. The author has a way of making feelings come alive in a way that's easy to relate to.
A fun and adventurous tale of a young man's adventures, full of monsters and mayhem. The world-building in this novel is where the author truly shines.
The beginnings of a funny tale about a girl whose mom joins her in school. Not my usual genre, but the author is obviously having fun writing it, and that energy makes it fun to read.
Very cool intersection of science fiction and fantasy, in a tale of former friends lost in a battle of good vs. evil. The world-building is where this book truly shines.
A fantasy tale of an underdog magical apprentice who finds himself in possession of a powerful, dark tome. Well written, and so far enjoyable. I'm looking forward to what happens next.
Definitely one of the more professionally written stories on this site. An intriguing tale of two werewolves. A fantastic beginning to what I hope will be a great book.
A building epic about an ancient Demon - Lord who is killed fighting gods in battle, and is then reincarnated centuries later. Unpolished here and there, but definitely worth a read.
A young man studies magic in a fantasy / sci-fi crossover, with a simulism theme. Very interesting so far. Despite the occasional grammatical issues, I definitely want to know what happens next.
Interesting beginning of a story about a young aristocratic girl who wishes to study magic, and her dubious relationship with her servant. Very interested to see where this will lead.
An intriguing slow-boiler about a young noblewoman and her dubious family. Very strong character development, reminiscent of Anne Rice. I'm curious about where this is going to go next.
A captivating story about a boy with Stockholm syndrome living with a serial-killer sociopath, running alongside the tale of a sick girl with family issues. Very curious to find out how these two plotlines will intersect.
A fun and interesting underdog tale. It seems the lowest of the low can never catch a break - even in alternate realms. A great beginning, I can't wait to find out what happens next!
