In some stories those are just gendered words for mage and in others they’re based around more ritualistic magic, like blood magic.

Again with the killing, as if the police are imaginary beings, if he was worried about them being rich he just had to use genjutsu to get them to confess and find proof, it’s becoming his go to solution to everything, in fact I’m pretty sure you have exaggerated the parents crimes in the story to give you a reason for your character to kill again. We get it, he’s willing to kill, but I think you’re pushing the character a bit too far into the camp of murder because it’s the easiest choice when it isn’t necessary. I don’t mean to come off condescending or mean, I’m just making an observation, I’m still mostly enjoying the story. And I guess the ancient one has forgoton how she brought up this same issue?

Is this person really mentally stable? The husband who has even more reason to be livid is keeping his cool, but my guy is straight up contemplating murdering people who haven’t committed a crime. Just because they’re assholes doesn’t mean they deserve to die.
