Most of the legendary-weapon-methods unlocked when he merged his System with the Axe.
Honestly, I've lost track. I know one was killed for learning something they shouldn't have known, one quit in despair to retire to a monastery, and one left after being belittled. All of this off screen.
Oops. Okay, I lose both cool points and medieval life knowledge creds. I'm sure Rhishi FEELS like he's wearing a corset, but he's not.
Oh, good. I didn't hide those notes so deeply readers couldn't find them. No spoilers, but here have an imaginary kolache. And thank you, comments like these let me know I'm foreshadowing JUST enough.
No, I've been careful since the beginning not to fall into the Superhero System trope. Flying around on arcs of chi, killing people with your laser eyes while lightning takes out nuclear missiles is a WAY different story than the one I'm writing.
Thank you, I learned from this thread.
It would look small to us; but yes, gigantic to the mantis.
Outstanding timing! We're heading into that arc now.
When the world seems like a game, you'd be amazed how that affects morality. "I stabbed that [Censored] plenty of times. He never DIED on me before!" - Predator 2
Ah, I see the paragraph now. Morrigan is one of a triform mother goddess, Celtic or Irish, possibly early Breton. She is said to have both Ravens and Crows as servants, and probably about half a dozen other animals besides. If I remember properly, she is war and vengeance and love, all at the same time.
The world's greatest heroes are summoned from all over multiple worlds, with multiple histories, mythologies, cultures, and religions. I think Baba Yaga is Russian/Slavic, part female version of the boogey-man, part sorceress, part witch, part demoness, and part spirit queen. I think, there's probably more there that I'm forgetting.
If it's the paragraph I'm finding, then no. Flash Step is the teleportation to striking range. Fleet of Foot is just fast running.
In our historical world, yes. I suppose I could have detailed what dyes were rarer than others, and should have, but that's more worldbuilding than I thought my readers would appreciate.
I was unaware of this axe technique, but yes, it sounds doable.
I probably did; wrote this a while ago, let me check.
