Yess it was, but most readers despise reading super long flashbacks as they can't wait to read the main story, so maybe take out the unnecessary parts to shorten it if possible? Otherwise, it was great! (unnecessary as in parts unrelated to the main plot revolving around the two mcs. If that part is a huge hint or piece of info for the future plot don't remove it). Just a suggestion! No need to do it if you don't want to. Author to Author, I get how hard it is to delete something you really wanted to include into the story.
