I think i remember that January was supposed to be 10-20 years younger, with her son (and marriage) being 20 years old, shes prolly in her early 40’s, which i’d think is still fine to marry and such

It prolly is tho. Rosemond had the Duke helping her because she knew how he had gotten his status. The common knowledge is that the Duke was the son of a baron with the Duchess being heir to the duchy. So him raping her and forcing their marriage seems like perfect blackmail material to me, dont you think?

Im wondering when this part was supposed to happen, cause the first chapters imply Patriza was the only one who knew as she said Petronilla had acted exactly the same, and didnt act weird when she said she’d become the queeness. Is this a continuity issue, or was her going back as well added last minute? Idk its unclear
