Mihawk was never said to be trying to find someone to defeat him. He is considered the strongest swordsman, and by respect for swordsmanship and his title of the strongest, he has to answer to those that come to challenge him. Then again, it is true that he won't mind a strong opponent to test his skills as it was shone with his relationship with Shanks, it certainly can feel lonely at the top.

This right here doesn't make sense, Robin can't be that dumb. You are basically telling me that she chose to infiltrate a pirate ship with a captive and hasn't made any efforts to conceal herself for the entire journey or even elaborate any plan to save herself in case she was found out ? And you can't tell me that her plan is to count on Dak since she doesn't know his abilities, he could be a weakling for all she knows.

Hell, there freaking job is to maintain law and order throughout the world and impose the will and might of the World Government.

I think the author has a low understanding of the One Piece world. If the WG is against you, then the marines too. The Marines cannot refuse an order coming from the WG as it is a part of it. It was created by the WG, it is funded by it and it gives it all the resources that they have, even their devil fruits.

I'm someone who thinks that it is extremelly important for a fanfic writer to make sure that the cannon characters representations stay faithful to the original story, or at least if there is a chnage at least make that change logical. Up until now, Mihawk is the character that I have the most trouble with in this fic, he acts way too differently from the original, especially his interaction with Gion. It almost made me stop reading it by hey, the concept of the story is nice so I will try to endure it.

I agree. One of the negatives points of this fanfic is that you often see moments where Ken is berating other characters just so that he could have his moment of moral superiority or something. Honestly, from what I have seen of mr Pink, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have reacted like that, I also think that a lot of charcters are badly portrayed in this fic, Sengoku being one of them by the way.
