Is it just me or are the paid chapters gettings shorter and shorter? Feels like the author is just farming money. The story is greath though!

you are right about the mushroom clouds. they are formed by the expelled air rushing back in after the explosion. Doesn't even have to that big an explosion, you can find a lot of videos of it on YT.
