My first instinct is to assume that this is some sort of scheme, presumably by Orochimaru but, I have no idea why he would do this. Though if it’s a different faction’s work then why would they give Fujin the credit? Could the Phantom Haven be involved?

You just gonna pretend that all of those cases weren’t explicitly stated as and, in regard to the uchihas specifically, primarily noteworthy for being outliers? It’s like if someone was arguing that most/all characters in Naruto were excessively powerful, an evidentially false statement, to which a second person voiced disagreement with after which you come along and cite Madara, Hashirama, and Nagato as counter examples.

Not 4 year olds, 12 year olds. Characters atleast 3 times the age of mc begin to go on journeys to understand the world around them and this is only after they go through years of academic studies, training with weapons, and learning to kill people. Even after all of that they are still expected to be given guidance by their older and more experienced colleagues while working together in groups of 4. It would be one thing if the mc had been shown or at the very least stated to have demonstrated great intelligence prior to Hisashi meeting with him but there isn’t even that much. This 30 something year old Jonin clan leader is taking advice from a civilian (not even a genin) 4 year old on the basis that he looks like his ancestor and is unusually strong for his age. It’s absurd.

Reuniting with Fujin’s old acquaintances and teachers like this was great! Most authors wouldn’t even take the time to introduce these sorts of tertiary characters so it’s really a mark of someone who knows their stuff to not only have these sorts of connections with the protagonist but to also bring them back later on.
