I wanted to give this book a try after seeing it do so well in ratings, and if you have chosen to do the same, and end up sticking with it, all the more power to you. I for one just count get past the first few paragraphs of this novel with the fact that he is 18 shoehorned in, as well as other small fact, hammered in again and again, the same words used to describe just used to death. Maybe the writing skills of the author improve, after all, it is just the first chapter. But the fact that they have felt 0 need to make any changes with how poorly it reads doesn't give me any hope for the future, or any want to continue. I wish the the author the best of luck, they seemed to have cultivated a good following with their book, and I'm sure that their ideas have fleshed out nicely after being able to give the time to it, but as it stands now, in what I assume to be it's unedited state, I cannot continue with it.

An absolute gem amongst the trash in Novel update. Wonderfully written, translated, and edited.

SOME are shorter than others, but there are also those that are much longer than the previous norms. He's not forcing words out to meet a word count, but writing until the scene is set how he wants it to be.

I wish that we can be done with this creep already. I how someone who was basically useless thinking he's such a big shot.

Do not be mistaken by the name of the comic. It is nothing like the novel, and is in no way kept honest of it. The personality of the main protagonist as well has his physical features have all been warped. The female characters have been over sexualized, with even their names changed. Once more, they couldn't even keep to the real names from the actual novel, and have even created an entirely new and weird backstory for the protagonist. Maybe this story could be good on it's own, but it shouldn't carry the label of the legendary mechanic. However, as it contains said title then it must be known how much of a let down this comic is to myself as an avid follower of the novel, who has been after a comic version for so long. Creative freedom only goes so far, when this novel bastardises the amazing story and character development that the true novel has. It basically all seems like some offbrand pirated fan made piece.
