I still hold the opinion that they shouldn't have just made the world a remnant of what it once was... And destroying the moon like a baseball bat to a dinner plate... Judging the whole of humanity for the actions of the few is incredibly arrogant and narrow-sighted. God-like beings or not they should have merely left without destroying the world the way they did, it was way too over the top. But yes I also agree with you that yes to them who created the species of remnant they might as well be motes of filth they clobbed together in an experiment and what came out of it was Faunus and humans and life as the world knew it.
