yes, the setting of the story is great. dont forget, mc is an agent who had his parents presumably killed, him getting betrayed by many, including some recent ones......now read the story from the beginning until ancient one advises him to relax, and then read the next portions. in the later portion, if you just forget the former part and try to gauge the personality of mc, you can easily think of him a minor teenager with some tragedy and not some some top agent who maybe is an unique existence in the whole world. and then the friendship arc with childlike pranks which just doesn't fit in the story continuing from the parts of mc's intense training regimen with a specific goal.....there are many stories where mc start out great with distinct personality and then suddenly become chaotic bipolar donkey when he gets a little more powerful..like comedic monologues and unpredictable thinking pattern completely different from the original established personality or suddenly starts defeating everyone with the power of friendship anime style and shares his unique power origin or sources with sudden life or death best friends or lovers......anything sounds similar?......I am still reading because I am hopeful the author will return the story to its core and make it reach its peak, the way the starting of the story promised...and seriously I have not found another story with naruto based powers in mcu or dc settings. .....creation is very hard. I truly admire it....as for trying to controlling it, if the author has already planned out and is confident that it is heading in a good direction, me commenting is gonna do nothing and if by chance, the author revises the future chapters after re reading his own novel from the beginning, affected by my comments, then so be it. in both cases, the choice is not mine and in both cases, I am not affected except for maybe getting a good read and that's it.
