gaslighting himself as it’s finest
if this was a chinese cliché novel, the response would be like this: ‘’Oh really?, then don’t bother do the research, you don’t know what’s good for you ‘yada yada yada’. And I am going out on my way to share some significant and critical investment plans for your own good, ‘yada yada yada’ *beep*’’
in martial world, Lin Feng was punching on a robust tree at the start of the chapter. This one is hacking a swordim the same setting? hehe. No hate, just pointing out
If this is another example of an author foolishly trying to one up in replicating Martial World, you’re dead author, that’s the wuxianovel I’ve loved to read and dozens of times over.
before I start reading, did mc reincarnated? or was he just betrayed
I normally don’t write reviews since I don’t want to hassle myself. But, this is for readers who held high expectations for this work, like myself. Initially, I thought that the world background and the characters were alright, not great, but good nonetheless. Morever, it has a unique touch to it that I can’t put a finger down whatever it was in the first few chapters, and that kept me reading it. But damn was the 90+ chapters boring. In a sense it is too forced, maybe it’s just me. The power within realms and sub-realms are too unexplained, how gaps between strength would affect their prowess, etc. Neo Hargraves’ will and motivation to grow stronger is not that strong to affect the other supporting characters, but author is trying to correlate his drive for strength to others that don’t align at all. Moreover, it doesn’t help when the other supporting character’s background, the God Clans, the other countries, geography, and other components of the world’s plot that are too unexplained/unexplored. Author could have covered this aspects in reservation for chapters just to have readers get a sense of what’s happening around the world, underworld, dreamscape, or other realms of existence. But, author did not do it as he kept narrating the life Neo is experiencing, which held my perspective back to a limited. It got worse at the late 160+ chapters, when author said ‘fuck it’ and killed characters that should have been developed enough to warrant such deaths. The poseidon’s heir got killed, christian, and the others. Forced the blame on Arthur because Sphinx’s plan was to strengthen the child of Zues. Just cause he have the purest god’s blood. The mission’s purpose for sending them down killing shadows? Those listed above and to make Arthur experience his companions’ passing. Then what about poseidon’s decendants? Are they not of Great Gods’ bloodline? Not to mention all the others who were sacrificed just for the ‘greater good’ - the Akashic records’ predetermined future for Arthur. Author didn’t dwelled deeper which made it too forced. Hope this helps author, I don’t even want to write about all of my complains anymore as I already decide to drop this. This ain’t for me. Good luck Author-san!
